All The American Girl Dolls

When I went to American Girl Place Chicago a few weeks ago, I took tons of pictures and it is taking me some time to get them posted. Here are some group photos of all the 18″ American Girl Dolls (minus Chrissa, Sonali and Gwen). They are all so cute – it makes you want them all!

Collection of American Girl Doll of the Year Limited editions

Starting from Left to Right, the Limited Edition Girls of the Year are: Lindsey (2001), Kailey (2003), Marisol (2005), Jess (2006), Nicki (2007), and Mia (2008). Since Chrissa, Gwen and Sonali are available now, they were not displayed here. All of the past Girls of the Year are now retired. They best place to look for the dolls and their outfits and accessories is on eBay (here is a custom search for them).

American Girl Historical Dolls

This was the display for all of the historical dolls – notice Samantha, Nellie, are not there (for some reason Elizabeth and Emily are missing from the display too). Left to right, Kaya, Felicity, Josefina, Kirsten, Addy, Kit, Ruthie, Molly, Julie and Ivy.

American Girl Just Like You Dolls

And the Just Like You Doll display. Each of the dolls is just so cute!

Abby, we’re not talking about it anymore.

  3. Lena says:

    Congrats about Jess!

Ciao peeps, I’m off to tae kwon do.

  4. Abby says:

I text alot to and one time I write a story at school and instead of saying “want to” I said “wanna”

  5. Abby says:

    ok lena. and thank you.

  6. Abby says:

    see ya lena.

  7. sarah says:

:-o Isn’t “wanna” a real word!?!? Great, I write it on my papers all the time

  8. Lena says:

No, “wanna” isin’t a real word, but it’s not chatspeak either. It’s a slang term that was made in the 50′s.

  9. Jessica says:

 how long has it BEEN?! Sorry, guys! I’ve been extremely busy lately, that’s all. So, school’s out on Thursday for us! How about you guys??
    –Jessica S.
P.S. I really might wanna get Rebecca or Chrissa now! Too bad my desk wouldn’t want the extra weight. ;)

  10. Jessica says:

Hmm. I don’t really watch “old old” shows. I’m into, like, 80s shows, like Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Home Improvement, and Family Matters. The Nanny’s pretty good, too. OMG, who hear loves Starbucks? My favorite thing on the menu is their Grande Double Chocolate Chip Frapuccino <– (however you spell that!) :D

  11. Lena says:

Jessica, i watch 80′s shows too. Fresh Prince is my one of my fave 80′s-90′s shows, along with full house.
I don’t really like Starbucks, I’d rather make my own coffee….. but I do love a Frappuccino now and then!

  12. Lena says:

Oh, and I forgot the awesomest 70′s show ever! Happy Days! You can’t not love Fonzie!

  13. priscilla says:

  15. priscilla says:

  16. chrysanthamum says:

i like bewitched i dream of jeannie.

  17. chrysanthamum says:

    get smart

  18. Lena says:

Priscilla, I saw them a while ago, and I must say, the book illustrations look bad. Almost photoshopped.

And the mini doll picture is the full size doll pic. Not sure why, but it is.

  19. chrysanthamum says:

priscilla? tamaboutique.com has calico critters / sylvanian families

  20. R. Anne says:

Who else loves Rebecca’s meet outfit? I don’t see why AG had to retire Sam and Nellie – plenty of dolls have stories that take place 10 years apart, but tell the stories of different types of people living in different areas and circumstances (Kaya and Felicity, Kirsten and Addy, Kit and Molly). I was always hoping that there would (eventually) be a doll representing life in a different decade.

  21. Abby says:

Hey everybody! no Jess today. :( but some good news is my mom found a 75 cent mini molly doll at a garage sale. she just gave it to me and I was sorta freaking out. I have 3 mini dolls Sam, Addy, and Molly. you guys have any?

  22. Abby says:

I think it would be cute if they made a greek gal, she would have brown hair and bangs and brown eyes, along with a greek wrap outfit with cutie flip flops of course. she would have like a leaf crown… but this is my imagination. I really don’t know greekian years though.

  23. priscilla says:

    abby,i have mini addy,samantha,elizabeth,felicity,nellie,and ruthie.

  24. priscilla says:

i like your idea of a grecian doll!

  25. chrysanthamum says:

    i like your idea

  26. Lena says:

I like the idea, but AG’s already had a greek halloween costume, and it wouldn’t be very realistic. Only ancient Greeks wore that clothes, and even then, it was only rich women. A normal Greek 10 year old would probably already be married. Plus, it wouldn’t be American.

  27. Lena says:

And bangs weren’t around until the 1860′s.

  28. priscilla says:

This is just a shout out to ag!(If there reading this)- REBECCA IS THE MOST GORGEOUS DOLL YOU HAVE EVER MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  29. Sarah says:

    nicki rocks who luvs nicki

  30. Starr says:

I think Sonali is prettier, no offense…And Jess and my #27….I like Rebecca too, though…

  31. chrysanthamum says:

    they werent?

  32. Lena says:

Yes, they weren’t around. Technically, Kirsten shouldn’t have them.

  33. priscilla says:

omg ag has a contest about if u review an item u get 100 dollars in a gift certificate!!!!!!!!!!

  34. chrysanthamum says:

tenthousand years ago no one had blue eyes.

  35. Lena says:

Yeah, they did, there just weren’t many. And ancient Greece was only 2000-3000 years ago. But an ancient Greek girl is as unrealistic as say a 50′s girl with a poodle skirt.

  36. chrysanthamum says:

i typed that wrong, can i delete it?

  37. chrysanthamum says:

ya they have the contest. i so wish i could win, but what are the odds
they’re not going to make a fifties or a poodle skirt outfit?

  38. Lena says:

If they did make a 50′s girl, she wouldn’t have a poodle skirt.

  39. chrysanthamum says:

    why

  40. Lena says:

Because poodle skirts were a teen only thing. Actually, most of you wouldn’t have had one either, because you’re too young. A fifteen year old might have one, but no younger.

  41. Selena says:

*giggle* 10thousand yrs ago, aye? hehe! sorry, i just find that funny!

  42. chrysanthamum says:

rebecca is coming soon only a couple days!

  43. chrysanthamum says:

i want to see her colleciotn. andd they should release more outfts for other dolls soon hop;pefully. if you dont like ivys meet outfit you i read you an send it back for a refund. or you oculd buy and asian just like you and have her wear ivy’s red dress an style her hair, get her earspierced and buy the accessoires.

  44. chrysanthamum says:

i might actually get to buy a horse soon. i want the westen one, and i will probably by hte accessories. its to bad that prices go up because apperntly the hroses used to be less. and it seem like a lot for te accessories. but it will last a long time and looks good.
