Yesterday we decided to head up to the American Girl store at Tyson’s to check out the new AG release for ourselves. Shortly after arriving we got a wonderful surprise – our good friend Madelon came to join us for some shopping. It was great to get caught up and to compare notes as we checked everything out.
We entered the store through the downstairs entrance and were immediately greeted by a Truly Me doll showing off the store exclusive Sailboard set and the Purchase with Purchase Swim Shirt set.
The Recess Ready outfit – the material has some shimmer in it.
The gardening set is just so cute.
So, what do you think of the Slow Cooker set? Soooooo cute!
The Mod Monster Halloween Costume is definitely different.
AG has lots of girl sized back to school items in store – from backpacks to lunchboxes and folders.
Ahhhh, relaxation! The hammock and beach sets are adorable.
The Sports Storage bench is a fun addition, but honestly, I think it would be a very easy DIY.
The new Truly Me meet outfit and some layering options. I’m not crazy about the dress, but I love the shoes.
One of the pet scenes that was set up reminded me a lot of something we might see on Doll Diaries or another doll blog. I will say, those doggie pedicure flip flops are just too stinkin’ cute though.
Plug your phone or iPod into Kit’s new radio and enjoy your tunes.
Kaya’s Pow-Wow Dress of Today looks beautiful on her!
I wasn’t in LOVE with Julie’s Mix Print outfit, UNTIL I saw it in person – and then it became one of my favorite new pieces in her collection.
Josefina is just too sweet in her party outfit.
The t-shirt, zipper hoodie, leggings and sparkly shoes are all available in stores, but honestly, these leggings are about the most horrible piece that AG has made yet. If they were in a darker color they would look better. It leaves me feeling like she is missing a piece of clothing – like a skirt or shorts to over it.
Tortoise sunglasses – because every girl needs them! 😉
Grace’s sightseeing outfit is cute, but there are two accessory sets that go with it which really puts the price tag on the high side.
Julie’s new bed.
Julie’s vanity with the owl clock.
Grace’s Travel Train Case for girls is GORGEOUS and flying off the shelves – even at $50. The Bonbon t-shirts for girls are sweet too.
Cute stationery set for girls, too.
American Girl has partnered with Williams-Sonoma to offer some kids baking classes in their stores but also have a girl sized spatula for sale in both stores. Natalie loves to cooks so, yes, we needed a Grace spatula.
What are your favorite new items?
