Hey, I’m not in love with her dress, I think it looks kind of funny, but that is just my opinion, I’m probably still gonna get her, but I am going to rename her something like Leah or Leila because I don’t reallly love the name Lanie. So last Christmas my Grandma got me a 45$ gift card to AG. So I spent it on the skateboarding outfit and a pair of lentes or glasses as they are called in english. So a couple days ago my Grandma was on AG.com and it said that I had never used the gift card that she got me. So she callled my mom and my mom asked me to make sure that I had spent it and I said that Yea, I did indeed use it. So then my mom calls AG and they asure my mom, that no, I didn’t use it, but I know tht I did and my mom said that I did but they say that we still get to use it again, So I’m happy because AG just paid for half of my new Lanie doll.

Yes, I think she is white but she is shadowed in the picture. I’m going to like Lanie. I hope her curls are thick and full but still loose enough to play with, considering I have the Elsie LOF doll and her curls are beautiful and breathtaking and worth it, but for my first long-haired blonde girl I want to be able to do her hair. That’s right. Out of my 11 dolls (INCLUDING my vintage Susan Stroller when she still had hair) , Kit is my only blonde headed doll. I guess I am more attracted to brunette dolls, but I REALLY like Lanie and I think she is the first GOTY I really actually want!!!

I actually like Christmas Eve more than Christmas Day. My family always has a “buffet” at home and we set up plates of cheese and appitizers out on the table. This year we’re gonna have a fondoo (dang, how do you spell that) pot and dip strawberries in chocolate. Yum! Also, we bake cookies and leave them for Santa (I have little brothers so yes, santa still comes to my house) . And we go to Church for the family service and sing christmas songs and stuff. We open the presents not from santa on christmas eve too. Too bad Sonali’s from Mr. Claus lol. Now I have to wait an extra day. Oh well.

It makes sense that the bunny is on a leash. I have a rabbit, and they’re really hard to pick up them when they’re loose.
The goodybag will probably have everything that was in the goodybag at the rebecca opening so there will probably be a Lanie poster , a lanie postcard book, some mini books about Lanie and helping the envornment, and probably a cut out paper boardgame.
at the Rebecca opening the drawing was to win her whole collection, you entered before the store opened and they announced the winner right before they let everyone in. I entered because I didnt know they would keep the entries in drawings to win Rebecca dolls all day and since I didnt win the first drawing and didnt know I was still able to win anything I bought Rebecca ,right after I bought her some staff came up to me and my mom and told us that we had just won a Rebecca doll SOOOO since I already had her and didnt know about everything they let me exchange her for any other doll in the store (I chose Chrissa) and everthing was okay!

There’s a little store at my mall that sells clothes for AG dolls. Not only that but it has some that look JUST like some of the clothes from AG!! Like today for example, I saw a dress that was a replica of Samantha’s Cranberry Dress! I started freaking out and said “Mom! Mom!! It’s Sam’s Christmas dress!!!!!” She didn’t let me get it tho.

I feel sorry for you, Julie. When I earn money to get a doll (which takes FOREVER) my mom always forgets to put money on her card to order it online. Well, to pass the time that it takes to get the doll you could make stuff for her. (i.e. sew dresses, set up a little corner of your room for her.)

From what I’ve seen, Lizbeth has the same hair as Lissie. Also, Kit did have a slight curl, and Lissie has her pin curls framing her face.
I have Elizabeth, her hair is really wavy down, but it is really easy to take care of and it is really easy to style too!
It is definitely easier to take care of than Nicki’s hair.

Well… As the mom of an 8 year old I must say these dolls are taking over my house!!! My daughter has every doll of the year, yes all 7 + Gwen and Sonali. and has I believe 10 of the Historical dolls. OMG what was I thinking. Now she will be getting Lanie, She looks so cute.My daughter can’t wait to see her!!! we will be placing our order on 1-1-10. They have NotSonali, 2 of them. They only lack NotChrissa and NotLindsey.
If you really put your mind to something and work hard and use persuation anything can happen lena. It’s not realistic, but it could happen. I know a lot of girls my age who play with dolls.
I’m almost an adult. But Mattel won’t care. Its meant to be for tweens, and it will stay for tweens in their minds.

Marielle, downy dunk. Put a capful of Downey in a sink, add water, and put ONLY Kirsten’s hair in. Be careful not to get any water in her eyes. Let her drip dry.

I know that you already now most of this, I am just clearing some stuff up for you.
Age group: 8-13
Contest start and end date: Jan. 1st to March 15th
For almost everyone:
Bird
Seed or pinecone
Spider or spiderweb
Bud on a tree branch
Something that looks like a letter of the alphabet
If you live where it snows:
Detail of a snowflake
Animal tracks in the snow
Interesting icicle
Tree with no leaves
Plant peeking through the snow
If you live by the beach:
Interesting sand pattern
Seashell
Kelp or seaweed
Driftwood on the shore
Creature in a shell
If you live in the desert:
Rock or sand pattern
Interesting rock or rock formation
Prickly cactus
Plant growing on a rock
Colorful sunset
You have to take five picture of any five of these things, not all of them.
There are 5 grand prize winners that get Lanie’s whole collection and 20 first prize winners that get the Lanie doll and book.
You also have to write kind of like a paragraph 1000 letters or under that starts with “I am inspired by nature when……….” then you upload the photos on to your pc and type up your paragraph and send it, basically E-mail it to AG

oh i wanted to know if they would extend the age to 14 for the contest because I literally just turned 14 and i don’t think it’s fair I can’t participate. I mean the age is 8+. I remailed them. It’s pretty unrealistic, but if I want a change I have to make the change, now those are the true words of a GOTY!
I emailed them back saying I knew about the contest from the magazine, so they can’t tell me what they told me again. “We cannot release…blah blah blah.”
I was just really upset, because I rock at photography and writing (not to brag) so i think I could really win.

i know but usally the models for ag look the same as the dolls like the black haired doll in the photo and the model
there is an exeption on the main page with sonali though
if you look at the pics with jly dolls they usally look the same
emma- too much money! when I bought Sonali in March in the AG place in Chicago, I kept thinking about the 110$ I spent on just a doll (a cute doll) and some dolly clothes instead of something else. I couldn’t bare to spend thousands of $ on dolls just because I liked them.
it depends if you like them enough ava plus if you really love playing with them and are dedicated like stenswodadancer it is worth it ava..
also who says you need to buy them new? not me!
if you don’t buy them new, and ther hair is all knots and all spray with with water and brush well for a while
and remove marks with a zit cream that is shown on a vid by stevenswodadancer on youtube
