I know you all love to see different dolls dressed in the same outfit, so here is another version of “who wore it best” – doll style. Today I thought I would try the dress that comes with Kit’s Easter Candy Making Set on a few other dolls. I would not have bought this dress on its own – but I just love Kit’s Easter Candy Making Set so now I have the dress, too. Why American Girl had to make this dress pink for Kit is still a mystery. I think their design team should be required to read all the historical stories before designing something new. Everyone knows Kit is not a “pink” girl. This dress would have been gorgeous in a mint green, robin’s egg blue, or even a pale lavender.

Kit is all dressed in her pink ruffly dress, while she puts together an Easter basket with chocolate bunnies she just made.

Kit does not look bad in pink – she actually looks very sweet, but it’s not her favorite color!

Ruthie, on the other hand, thinks this dress was made for her!! The pink looks beautiful on her. And why is Ruthie wearing winter tights with a spring dress? Let’s just say that Ruthie had a wardrobe mishap and wore a pair of cheap black leggings for too long and has a lot of dye transfer. As soon as the weather warms up and the sun comes out, Ruthie and a few of her friends will be headed outside to sunbathe in OXY cream.

Yes, I think Kit will give this dress to Ruthie!

This dress also looks good on Jazzmin from Harmony Club Girls. It is her rosy cheeks and dark black hair that make it work. Jazzmin is stuffed a little more than our AG dolls so this was a snug fit – but it still works.

Of course this dress looks good on McKenna – everything looks good on McKenna – but do you think it is her “style”? I’m not too sure. I would be afraid that she might snag the fabric or get it dirty turning cartwheels in the yard.

Hmmm… her blue eyes look good with the pink though.

Who is this sweet girl checking out the chocolate bunnies? It is Tess – a FAO Gotz doll. She is a vinyl slim body 18″ doll.

Because Tess is a slim body doll, this dress is a little big on her – you can see it most across the chest. Also the Gotz dolls’ feet are shaped differently from AG fee so these shoes are a bit snug on her, too. Sorry Tess, even though you look sweet in this outfit, it’s coming off. 😉

So, who do you think wears this dress best? I think Ruthie wins, hands down and she is going to keep it on for a while.
