4th of July Reader Photo Parade

Happy July 4th! We are having a virtual parade today! If you have photos of your dolls celebrating July 4th, send them in! Follow the instructions at the bottom of this post and I will add them here throughout the day!

Maggie’s Kanani is decked out and ready to celebrate!

From Madelon: Kit and Ruthie want to tell everyone that they love America with all of their hearts, as their artwork proclaims. Kit is wearing a denim dress with a flag- inspired collar. This was purchased at the Skimmer celebration. Ruthie wears a dress suitable for her era. We happened upon this outfit at a local independent bookstore.

Madelon’s Felicity and Elizabeth are celebrating a Colonial Fourth!

Julie is definitely ready for a 4th of July parade! This is another one of Madelon’s photos.

Hanna’s dolls have had a fantastic July 4th parade!

Jackie sent in Ruthie and Julie celebrating the fourth of July inside since it’s over a hundred degrees outside today.

Another great collage from Hanna.

Agisthebest (Delaney) says, “I made this parade for my American Girls. Julie is the cheerleader, Molly and Emily are the dancers, Lanie is the driver, McKenna ( I got her last Thursday when I went to the AG store in Dallas) is the guitarist, and Riley (MyAG#13) is playing her flute. I had a lot of fun doing this. Happy 4th of July everyone!”

Emily photographed Ellowynne in the parade. Dressed like a true patriot, Ellowyne dons red, white and blue, carries a mini George Washington puppet and a pinwheel.

This is Lindsey’s doll Alexis who is soaking up the sun in a homemade sundress that she made out of old jeggings ! Alexis can not wait for her family’s 4th of July Barbecue.

Baylee’s McKenna is enjoying a Colonial Fourth of July.

Peyton’s dolls Molly, Lanie, and Samantha decided to walk in a parade for the Fourth of July. Lanie and Samantha wanted to hold the banner while Molly stood on the parade float to wave to the crowd and hold the American flag to honor America’s independence.

Gail’s Little Miss Matched Balwinder is ready to make some 4th of July art with her RED, WHITE & BLUE crayons!

Molly’s photo of Ellen on the left and Samantha on the right, with mini Molly holding the flag.  They are celebrating Independence Day with fervor.  Ellen is wearing her red sundress and red cape.

Another photo from Molly features Samantha in red, white, and blue(counting her burgundy hat) holding the flag.  The dress is something that a friend sewed for her.

Aglover’s dolls having a parade being led by mini Samantha.

Chloe says: Candie made a flag hat and a banner in honer of the 4th of July. I made this picture 4th colors by using an app on my iPod called “Cam Wow” it can make many more effects to pics besides this one. Happy 4th everyone!

From April: Iris, Mimi and Cedar had all their dolls in Red, White and Blue to celebrate the 4th of July.

From Maddy in Australia: This is our parade in Australia! My sister and I added our dolls together to make this parade. Molly is leading, then Emily and then ruthie and Emily. It is the 5th here in Australia.

From Natalia: Chrissa and Julie cheer for american’s independence! Julie is wearing pleasant company overalls, a snoopy sweater and bitty twins shoes. Chrissa is wearing a retired cheering skirt, a white long sleeve (even though it was 100 degrees today) a tank top from an old AG outfit and matching shoes! The photo is taken by the back wall of my house.

Here are Kit, Molly and Emily dressed up in blue, white and red to do a Fourth of July tap dance! From Ava

From Priya: My mom helped me pick out cute 4th of July outfits for my dolls! They look really good on Rebecca and Kit!

From Qtlol10 - Rebecca is walking in the 4th of July parade with her Girl Scout troop. I made the shirt, sash, and shorts. The little crocs are from Sophia’s. She has little blue sparkly things in her hair and is holding a small flag. Happy 4th of July!

Join our parade!! To make sure your photo gets added, follow these simple steps:

  • Email your photo to share@dolldiaries.com (it must be your own photo – do not take photos from someone else’s site and submit them as your own)
  • Put “Parade” in the subject line (I get a ton of email & this will make it easier to sort through)
  • Resize your photos to 540 pixels wide (this is easy to do using www.picmonkey.com)
  • Make sure you include a description or caption for your photos

Stay cool and safe today!!
