2010 Holiday Barbie

Every year my oldest daughter asks for the Holiday Barbie for Christmas. The 2010 Holiday Barbie is very pretty! I love red and white, so I immediately loved this one – even though it is not quite as glamorous as some of the holiday Barbies have been in the past.

2010 Holiday Barbie

The 2010 Holiday Barbie doll is wearing a snowy white gown with beautiful red and gold-studded bodice, extra-long red wrap and ribbon bow. It comes with an ornate head band and chandelier earrings.

What do you think of this year’s Holiday Barbie?

I like her. Simple and pretty. I also like her holly wreath.

I have the Millenium Princess barbie (wow, having that doll makes me feel old), and personally I think she’s too fancy dressed.

  2. Emily L. says:

Oh, I NEED that doll! SHE’S BEATUIFUL! :D Char, you should totally give your daughter THIS one! Or maybe you could keep it…………… :P SECONDIE AND FIRSTIE TO SAY FIRSTIE! :D

  3. Alyssa says:

I wish I could get it but we have ten of the 1995 ones.

  4. Jessie says:

    Wow! It’s really simple,but it is very “holidayish”(I know,it’s not a word)!
    I..

  5. Ava says:

It’s very pretty. I love the top.

All my barbies are from the late ’90s. My gosh, have they changed! They were even more skinny back then.

  6. Lena says:

Talk about old, I have a Baywatch Barbie & Ken set from the year I was born, and my mom has one from the late 70′s (it was a gift from someone).

  7. Ana says:

I love Barbie(I know EVERYTHING about Barbie). So this is awesome information. Fact: Barbie was born in Wisconsin.

  8. Lena says:

Haha, me too. I know more than I should, like her full name: Barbara Millicent Roberts.

  9. Emily L. says:

I know who she’s named after, the creator, the high school she’s in, her parents, and like, 50 all together! You know that’s old she is! :D

  10. Grace says:

    I know that:
    The first Barbies were $3.
    Ken was introduced in 1961.
Barbie has four sisters: Kelly, Skipper, Kristy, and ???
She was named after the creator’s daughter, Barbara.
Her full name is Barbie Millicent Roberts.
She was born in Sheboygan I think?!!?!
    Hahaha.
I also know some girls “punished” their Barbies by putting them in microwave ovens.

  11. Lena says:

Barbie’s siblings: Skipper, Stacy, Todd (brother), Kelly, Kristy.

  12. Lauren says:

And don’t forget her sister Tutti, Todd’s twin.

  13. pioneerfan04 says:

Oh! She is gorgeous! I am so asking for her for Christmas! :)

  14. Julia says:

Hey I though Skipper was her cuz…

I also have a collection of holiday barbie’s from when I was little… to bad I didn’t realize what condition the dolls would be in after the box was open…lol anyway, I have Barbie Special 2000 Edition, 2003 Edition and some other one… *goes back in the living room to look again*… yea idk what year it is (:

  15. Jessie says:

I have Barbie guide book;; and here’s what it says:
    Barbie’s family:

    Skipper(1964):Sister
    Francie(1966~76):Cousin
    Tutti(1966-71):Sister
    Todd:(1966-68):Brother
    Krissy(1999):Baby sister
    Kelly(1995):Sister
    Stacie(1992):Sister
    Jazzie(1989):Cousin

and some of her friends are:
    Ken,Midge,Christie,Stacey,PJ,Diva,Dana,Tracy,Cara,Kelley,Steffie,Jamie,Dee Dee,Whitney,
    Miko,Bopsy,Belinda,Becky,Teresa,Shani,Tara Lynn,Nia,Kira,Devon,Nikki,Kayla,Becku.Ana,Chelsie,Lara,Nichelle,and Tori.

    Her familiy’s friends:Ricky,Skooter,Fluff,Tiff,Ginger,Scott,Courtney,Kevin,Nikki,Chris,Casey,Jenny,Deidre,Marissa,Keeya,Becky,Melody,Chelsie,Maria,Tamika,Nia,Kayla,Whitney,Janet,Dude,Chelsie,Stacie

    Wow that’s a LOT!

  16. Julia says:

Wow lol I was told that Skipper was her cuz…lol

My fave has always been Midge. She’s just real pretty and I luuuuuuv red hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. Michaela says:

Just so y’all know, Tutti was the original Stacie. Then Mattel retired her. Twenty or so years later, they brought Tutti back, but renamed her to Stacie. Todd, Tutti/Stacie’s twin brother, was kept the same.

    As for their ages(in doll form), I’d say Barbie’s around 17 or 18, Skipper’s about 14 or 15, Todd and Stacie are around 11 and 12, Kelly’s 4 or 5, and Krissy’s a newborn.

Sorry if all that confused you. ;)

  18. Ava says:

I now remember how I used to chew on my Barbies’ limbs as a little kid. Sorry, Barbie!

  19. Ava says:

    Happy May Day!

  20. Lena says:

Happy May Day (and Happy Birthday Julie)!

I’d say Barbie’s in her early 20. She wouldn’t be able to have all those jobs she has as a teen.

  21. Julia says:

Or…Tutti,Todd and Stacey could be tripletts lol jk I really haven’t a clue.

Has anyone seen the Barbie princess of Ireland? She’s sssooooo pretty!!!!!!!!!!

  22. Julia says:

wow…I’m glad I’m not a barbie doll. I’d be baked.

  23. Julia says:

OMG! Skipper is the same age as my mother!

  24. Ava says:

If she was in her twenties, she couldn’t be a presidential candidate.

    Whatever, Barbie never makes sense.

  25. Emily L. says:

Julia, I have that princess! She was at first my mother’s, but now MINE! How old is Skipper? Ava, I know! I’ve thought my Barbies were sixteen. When I was younger, I chewed one of my Barbies hands! Now it’s all wrinkled like my great grandma! :)

  26. Jessie says:

I just googled “Barbie Princess of Ireland” and in pictures(yes,I don’t have her) she looked so pretty!
And somehow she reminded me of Rapunzel(why?)

  27. Savannah says:

I never could get into Barbies, as a little girl I NEVER played with any sort of doll, ever. I was far to busy being and explorer or a pioneer. When I played pioneer I was always a married lady with and (invisible) husband named John (still my favorite boy name!) and I would take a baby doll and put her in my backpack and carry her around like an Indian lady, but that was about all I played with dolls. I have 3 or 4 Barbie dolls.I think. I’m not actually sure where they are. I think I even asked for them for my 5th Christmas. But I liked their mini food and grocery store stuff much more than the actual dolls. I never had many toys, and I didn’t even play with the ones I had much. By my 6th birthday all I wanted for birthday and Christmas was books. I was a strange child.

  28. Erica says:

    Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone!

Anyway this doll is beautiful! The dress kind of reminds me of a candy cane[maybe its the red and white?]

Speaking of Barbies, has anyone seen te new Exclusive Barbies for 2010? They’re very pretty[and expensive]. Go to http://www.barbiecollector.com right now if you haven’t. Very pretty.

    The dolls I want……
Greek Goddess Athena Barbie[probally because I'm a HUGE PERCY JACKSON NERD!!!!]
Russia Barbie[ I have the Princess of Russia doll from afew years ago and I'd love this one.]

Ya thats it. I wish they made an Alice doll to go with the Mad Hatter doll from the new movie. But sadly they don’t. [sad face]

  29. Ana says:

Erica, I like Percy Jackson too! Do you like Annabeth in the books too?

  30. Emily L. says:

Annabeth is close to one of my middle names! I can’t share it, though. 8)

  31. vanillaegg@76 says:

I love her dress gosh…….i feel like playing
    with a barbie doll now
    lol.

  32. shandy says:

Hi. I love her! I know Barbie and Ken are named after the creators kids.

  33. Shandy. says:

    ~~BTW. Happy Halloween, Everybody!~~

  34. Shandy. says:

    What r u going 2 b 4 Halowween? Im gonna b a hipee! ;) LOL!

  35. Jojo says:

I was the type to never play with barbie while I was growing up and always hated them, but now that I have a little girl of my own, I bought her the first holiday Barbie when she was born and I plan to continue this as a tradition for the years to come. I guess I’m living childhood through her eyes again and it’s even better. I love this barbie and I can’t wait to get one

  36. Savvy Sav says:

She’s OK, but I don’t like how she’s so simple. Her face and eyes look more like the Mariposa doll then a collector doll’s. I drew a more fancy dress for a Holiday Barbie. I just really like the collector feel and fancy dresses! That’s just my opinion though, she still pretty.
