Each holiday season we speculate as to which toys are going to be hot! Toy News Magazine released its Dream Dozens lists for the 2008 holiday season recently. The 12 toys expected to be big hits with girls (I would say ages 4-9 or so) include:
- MGA Baby Born With Magic Potty
- Barbie® & The Diamond Castle Princess Liana Doll
- Bratz Really Rock! dolls
(these are so not on my list)
- Camp Rock Fashion Dolls 2-Pk M & S

MGA Chou Chou My First Tooth
- Fur Real Friends Biscuit My Lovin Pup
- High School Musical 2 Sing Together
- I love Ponies Honey, My Baby Pony
- Littlest Pet Shop Tail Waggin Fitness Club Assortment
- Littlest Pet Shop VIPs
(think Littlest Pet Shop meets Webkinz complete with an online world)
- Rescue Pals Swim to Me Puppy
- Sylvanian Families Old Hollow Oak Treehouse
There are a few items on that list that may make it to our house, but I do know that a lot of my shopping for the girls will be American Girl, activity kits, and clothes.

I think that American girl should be on their – instead of bratz!
Oh – and firstie!
(well this comment would be second!)
Then this is a thirdy, Ellie
Anyway, yes, AG should definately be on the list. Who would wanna play with Bratz constantly anyway? I don’t think they’re appropriate for young children, like, seven years old. I mean, look at the figure! They’re just a rival for Barbie, who I do have to admit also set a bad example (they even have a condition named after her, Barbie syndrome; that’s a real accomplishment for a DOLL!) Still, a worker from Barbie actually created the Bratz dolls! So, if you think the company’s THAT BAD, you wanna create a doll even WORSE?! I’m sorry if anyone disagrees, but that’s what I think.
Wow, I really need to stop talking now; I’ll eat the whole forum alive with my words! lol
As a side note, I found out most of this information, except my own personal opinions, on Wikipedia. I just typed in Barbie. The first edition Barbies are kinda… well.. wierd.
